Jul 25, 2013 · My GSG will not fire. The other day I completely stripped my GSG 1911 to do a thorough cleaning and lubing, including taking the firing pin assembly out of the slide. I sanded the slide grooves with fine sand paper to get the slide action smoother as suggested in several Youtube videos on 'tuning' this gun. Slight update: There was a burr on the right rail. I hit it with a file (Lightly) and that stopped the slide locking problem. Piece of shit still doesn't run well. 1 out of every 20 or so rounds doesn't cycle correctly, but I put another 100 rounds through it.
