Started playing Factorio long time ago, and never thought I would try launching a rocket within 8 hours. After I saw several Any% run videos and guides, I somehow got some confidence to get the achievement and decided to give it a shot with Nefrums' guide, but without any bp from other runs and using my own map seed.Practically perfect deathworld start. No biters sitting on your coal or something like that, oil in reach, uranium really really not far off so you can turtle with lasers, some trees in case you want to build in the forest, not hard to wall off.My advice is to set the generator settings to this: very big and frequent water, normal-big starting area. If it doesn't give you a peninsula, you still will have something with decent choke points.
