Dec 30, 2018 · I agree with 2sharp2, mechanically the same. The Raptor has the Tactical night sights and the TLE has the fixed Slant night sights. The frontstrap checkering is also different and obviously the grips are different. I happen to like the cheap rubber grips on my Ultra TLE II but that doesn’t mean I don’t like the grips on my Raptor. One of my daughters has the EMP in 9mm. I fired it the other day on our range--it is a nice gun. I also have a Kimber Ultra Raptor II that gets switched out as my secondary EDC (Kimber Raptor 4" is primary) I prefer shooting my 3" Kimber .45 to my daughters EMP. Either one is a great choice--you can't go wrong either way.....Tritium night sights, ambidextrous thumb safety and a bumped and grooved grip safety are all standard with the Raptor family.
