I have had a Security 9 Compact for year. It us my EDC, and I carry every day year round. It is an economy gun. To keep it economical some coatings are not as durable as those if more expensive guns. I had a Walther PPS M2 with a Tenerite coating. It seemed indestructible.Proper Gun Weight – Score: 10. The Security-9 Compact weighed exactly 21.9 ounces empty with an inserted mag, as the Specifications state. This is a nice lightweight gun for concealed carry, along with the compact’s thin width of about 1 inch and its shorter height of 4.35 inches. It conceals nicely.

All have the sane safety mechanism. The manuals for each pistol explain the proper engagement of the safety. But, the weight of the frame, slide, and barrel do contribute to the low recoil and stability so that just about makes up for it.

Cleaned it up using some Q-tips and a little cleaner (Frog Lube), and reassembled it. At first, the safety problem was similar: easy off, but very stiff going back on again.
